So... at work today I discovered something my inner fangirl is going crazy over - a fan blog for the Queen's Thief (Attolia) Series! It's called Sounis. And it's rather amazing. Silly at times (as all fan sites tend to be) but sooo much fun!!!
I don't remember/ seeing fear in your eyes/ when you were fading/ though there were sad goodbyes/ It's easy to say/ there's a reason for this/ much harder to know/ that what we say is true... ~ Need To Breathe
...we have this treasure in jars of clay... (2 Cor. 4)
We do not mourn as those who have no hope... (as I remember the verses I copied below...). It doesn't mean we don't mourn, just that even through the mourning, we still have hope - a hope that will not fail us
Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. According to the Lord's own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage each other with these words. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)
well... let me tell you about the great day i had today. first off i was rudely awakened by a tornado swirling through my room. it was very peculiar because it's winter. and winter doesn't usually include tornadoes. i made that part up because in truth, i woke up normal like any other day.
Then came breakfast. i decided to make my sisters fried eggs that would look like they were smiling at them... like in Mulan. the eggs were happily frying away and i was happily reading a book (a Harry Potter book) and next thing you know the whole pan is on fire and then no one was smiling... not the eggs, not my mom, not amy or beth.... not even the sun. it was a dark and stormy beginning to a day that i had hoped would be normal.
i went to the mall. and got high heels. cuz that makes everything better. everyone knows that. except that is a lie. i did get shoes. they were black boots. witch boots. teheheha (sorry, i don't know how witches spell their giggles). and then i got a text msg and then i found five dollars.
i put my money in the bank, added this story to the story basket, made a delicious dinner almost all by myself without messing up any part of the recipe (which is amazing and which is why this day will go down in history), and now i'm back to reading Harry Potter while my sister hacks my xanga. i love my life!
